Drive and Transmission |
All units and folders are shaft driven by a DC motor which is installed independent of the unit and folder and is located parallel to the drive shaft on folder.
Goodnews units are connected with torrionally rigid coupling provided on the drive shafts. These units can be silenced from the main drive with the help of quick coupling/decoupling arrangement operated pneumatically. The power to the folder from the main drive shaft is transmitted through a heavy-duty timer belt which further transmits to the folder cylinders through a set of hardened and ground helical gears.
